School starts this monday... @#$%!

My summer officially ends this week.  But before heading back to school and facing one whole term of accounting, i spent three days with my highschool friends in batangas.  Grabe, 3 days of swimming.  Sobra na ang sun damage sa skin ko.

Oh well, i'll be back in batangas tomorrow because it's my grandma's 60th bday.  Ang bata pa ng lola ko no? hehe.

I'm currently reading 'like water for chocolate'.  Ang nipis lang nung book na yun tapos hindi ko pa rin tapos basahin hanggang ngaun.  One month ko na ata binabasa yun eh.  I'll try to finish it this weekend kasi once school starts i'll have no time to read.

hay, pasukan na naman... i'm not ready to go to school yet. =(

I've just realized something about blogs.  As I was reading the blog of my friend, I learned a lot of new things about him, it's like i saw a different person, very different from the way i see him when we see each other in school.  Blogs are really amazing, you just get to know people better, you even get to see the other side, or even the real side of some people.

Last week, I was in Subic together with the Comelec gang.  We stayed at the yacht club.  It was a nice place kaya lang sobrang mahal! Tapos bawal pa food sa loob ng yacht club! so cyempre, nagtakas nalang kami ng food. hehe. Tapos, We had a speed boat ride in subic bay and i was able to see the big beautiful yachts up close. I think it's really cool to have a yacht.  Biro mo, pwede ka nang tumira sa dagat pag may yacht ka!  So while we were in the speed boat, when we were near the yachts, I said:
"Pag Laki ko, bibili ako ng yacht! hahaha."

Sabay tanong kay manong speed boat driver:
"kuya, magkano po ba yung mga ganyang yacht?"

sagot ni manong boat driver:
" Ah yan, mga 100 million."

sheesh!  100 million for a yacht! Grabe!  I never thought they were that expensive!

at hindi pa tapos si manong boat driver:
"yung isa, mga nasa 200 million pesos"

Grabe! 200 million! That's enough to feed probably tens of thousands of people in a year!

Last, week.  Nawala yung puppy namin.  "Put-put" yung name ng dog namin, ang pangit no? hehe. We let our dogs roam around pero hindi naman sila nawawala.  Pag dumadating nga ako sa bahay lagi silang nakasalubong sa gate.  Cguro lumabas siya ng bahay tapos bigla nalang may dumampot! Argh! nakakaasar!  kawawa tuloy yung mommy nung puppy, sobrang sad.  Naubos na kasi yung mga baby niya.  Last december, Kuku, our pomeranian, gave birth to 4 puppies.  The 1st one died at birth, the second one died after a few days kasi mahina talaga yung katawan. After about two months, the third puppy died kasi nahulog sa fish pond at nalunod.  Hay grabe.  And the last one, nawala naman. Grabe.  How tragic!

I just came home kanina from palawan. We stayed in crytsal paradise in narra, palawan. Grabe sobrang nakakapagod yung trip namin! Pero ok lang, kahit nakakapagod, I had fun so it was worth it.  Mahirap mag describe, dadaanin ko nalang sa photos:


 

Oh dba, ang laki ng family namin?  actually kulang pa kami jan sa picture, tinatamad na kasi umakyat ng hagdan si lola kaya hindi na sumama sa picture. hehe.  and ganda ng view noh?

We first went to see the underground river.  Grabe, sobrang ganda!  Parang yung lair ng phantom of the opera!  Ang ganda nung mga stallactite formations!  Pero medyo nakakatakot, sobrang dilim tapos ang daming bats and birds.

The next day, we went swimming, and islang hopping.  Actually, dalawang island lang yung napuntahan namin.  Super clear yung waters!  From the boat kita mo na agad yung mga corals.

see, i'm holding a turtle!  I tried holding a bigger one, kasing laki ciguro yun ng isang football.  pero ang bigat tapos nagalit ata yung turtle,  fini-flip nya yung flippers nya (tama ba yun?). nag freak out ako kaya binato ko nalang ulit sa tubig yung turtle.  kaya i settled nalang for a smaller turtle. hehe ang cute

The third day, nag ikot-ikot kami sa puerto princessa city. In short, city tour.  Grabe, yun yung sobrang nakakapagod.  Ang init-init nung day na un eh.  Pero madami rin naman kaming magandang sights na nakita, pero sobrang nakakapagod talaga! sheesh!

Last day, uwian na! delayed yung flight namin by an hour!  sobrang liit kasi nung puerto princesa airport, wala pang aircon, tapos konti lang yung mga check-in counters.  tapos sobrang daming passengers, fully booked yung flight.  Sobrang na delay yung flight kasi dun palang sa check-in counters, more than an hour na kaagad yung pila! hay grabe!  grabe, 10.15 yung flight pero mga 10:45 na mahaba pa rin yung pila sa check in counter!  sobrang cranky na nga nung ibang tao eh. wala lang hehe

Three summers ago i had tennis lessons.  Well, i managed to hit the ball over the net.  Now, i'm taking tennis lessons again together with my sister. John,  my brother, is also taking tennis lessons.  After three years, buti naman ay kahit pano marunong parin ako mag tennis pero kailangan pa ng konting practice. hehe

i think this will be one of the very few summers in my life na hindi magiging boring! hay! i'll try to enjoy every bit of summer kasi school starts on may 23! grabe!  sobrang nakaka-asar! 6 weeks more or less lang yung vacation namin!

I've just finished reading Tuesdays with Morrie. Morrie reminded me of my late grandfather.  My lolo was a great person.  The best lolo in the world! And I miss him. When my lolo was young, he planted a tree.  HAnggang ngayon, buhay pa yung tree na yun.  Pero kahit buhay pa ung tree, nauubos na yung garden ni lolo. Ginawa na kasi parking space yung half nung garden. We actually had to cut my lolo's big old pine tree but we did not.  Just imagine, a very big pine tree in between two big cars.  Ang hirap tuloy ipasok nung mga kotse dahil may puno na naka harang sa gitna!  Pero we did not cut it down because the tree reminded us of our lolo.

I got my grades last friday.  Ok naman grades ko.  Actually, Ok na ok! hehehe I love eco!  I wasn't actually expecting to have really good grades last term because I was quite busy with Comelec.  Well, it turned out na hindi nag suffer yung grades ko pero sobrang nag suffer yung leisure time ko!  Last term, hindi na ako nakakapanod ng TV and movies nung election period!  Hay... hindi na ako totally nakakapanood ng wazzup, queer eye, and disney channel nung mga time na yun.  And hindi ko na nasusundan yung charmed, csi, and amazing race nun.  HIndi na rin nga ako masyadong nakakanood ng news and ng Oprah nun eh!  Instead of watching tv, cguro i just used the time to study.  Kaya buti hindi nag suffer grades ko kahit busy with extra curricular stuff.  Naku, lumalabas na ang pagka-nerd ko. Hehehe

yey!!! summer vacation na!!! makakapagpahinga na rin ako... and time to update my blog...

for this past week, cguro ung tulog ko is about 4 hrs a day lang... sobrang cramming kasi eh... i had to finish three papers for eco. plus i had to study for the finals... buti naman tapos ng lahat... hay!!! time to go to the spa and relax!

a day at the beach 
it was my mom's bday last friday, nagpunta silang batangas, ako iwan dahil may finals. pero me, my lola, my tito and tita, plus my two cousins followed them yesterday, sunday.  We have beach front bahay kubos in anilao, batangas. Tapos pinapa-rent namin pag summer, kahit nga tag-ulan meron din nagre-rent minsan eh. There was a group of ateneans na nag-rent.  so nandun sila sa bahay kubo sa taas, kami nasa baba.  they left lunch time, so after nun, we had the whole place to ourselves... here's a picture of me, my sister, my brother, plus my two cousins.

we arrived around 6.30 am... grabe ang aga.  meron kasing jetski ngaun dun sa amin sa batangas, second hand.  we were excited magpunta to try the jetski.  pero to our disappointment, may sira yung jetski!!! here's my dad and my uncle trying to fix the jetski.

by 3pm nagawa na yung jetski... buti naman hay... astig, sobrang bilis.  isang press mo lang dun sa accelerator sobrang bilis agad, parang mahuhulog na nga ako eh.when we go to batangas, once in a while, nagre-rent kami ng jetksi dun sa katabi naming resort.  me and my sister, mga "jetski driver" kami.  kasi, pag kasama namin yung mga relatives namin, family friends, officemates ng mom ko, ginagawa kaming driver, kami nagda-drive nung jetski.  magsasakay ng isang tao, tapos after one round, balik na naman, tapos ibang tao naman ulit ang sakay. pero masaya naman kyo ok lang... sobrang relaxing mag jetski and mag kayak... lalo na pag ikaw lang mag isa... ang weird nga eh... nagre-reflect ako about life habang nagje-jetski hehehe.

by 6pm, umuwi na kami, pero dumaan pa kami ng tagaytay and had dinner at dencio's... tapos umuwi na..

the next day

nagpunta ako ng skul to submit my econometrics paper:  food consumption in the philippines.  alam nyo ba na, according to my studies on the average, autonomous food consumption for filipino people is only P250 pesos per quarter! grabe!

the year that was

so tapos na ang school year. shocks.3rd year na ako.tumatanda na ako... ayaw ko pang tumanda.  well... i enjoyed my sophomore year in college... here's a rundown of happy 2nd year memories:
1.  i got to meet a lot of new people this year
2.  winning the UAAP.  there was a giant screen sa skul nung championship game... grabe... sobra yung energy nung mga students!!!
3.  being in the dean's list twice this year
4.  having a very funny and very good religion teacher... grabe... astig talaga relstri with dr. maningas!
5.  learning a lot of new things from my marketing professor kahit medyo weird cya sometimes.
6.  micro1 class... akala ko babagsak ako dito pero in the end i still  managed to get a high grade!
7.  friends, friends, friends... buti nalang i have good friends and blockmates in school.  somehow, they made this school year an enjoyable school year for me.
8.  of course, d ko makakalimutan yung mga cute guys in school!!!  hahahah
9.  COMELEC - the comelec experience was great, pero cyempre nakakapagod.  my fellow commissioners plus all the volunteers were great.  i enjoyed being part of comelec. the comelec gang:

i was deeply saddened by the death of the pope... naiyak nga ako nung nanonood ng tv eh... grabe, people really loved him, kahit catholic o hinde.  the pope served as a real inspiration for everyone.

it's 1am... kailangan ko ng magbuwi sa tulog. cge gudnyt!

it's my mom's bday today.... nasa Batangas sila, nasa beach... ako nandito sa school, finals week ngaun at tinatapos pa namin ang mga projets namin.... hay... pero susunod kami ng mga tita ko sa sunday.  wala lang

The SC Elections is finally over.  Gosh... politics in La Salle.  My estimate is that each political party spent atleast P50,000 for the campaign.  There was even an independent candidate who gave out 1000 mechanical pencils! 

Now, I have to attend to my academic duties...
